Intervention

  • Implemented a 24-hour refeed with a 30% calorie surplus, focusing on carbs (6g/kg) to elevate leptin.
  • Maintained protein intake at 2.5g/kg and reduced fats during refeed to prioritize carb impact.
  • Monitored HRV and sleep; client saw a 15% increase in HRV and improved sleep quality post-refeed.

Outcome

Training intensity recovered within 48 hours post-refeed. Fat loss resumed at a 0.5% body fat reduction per week over the next 3 weeks. This confirms the effectiveness of strategic refeeds to break stalls.
